Hello Everyone!
Dawn here with updates on how the tour is going and the documentary responses.
Wow, we just finished the first of two legs of the 27 city tour! It feels like a little Rasputina tornado just swept us up and now we all get a few days off to relax and unwind. So far the tour has been lots of fun, we work really hard for a few days and then enjoy one off where we explore interesting places like Mount Vernon and Mark Twain's house. My favorite moment has to be when we stayed in a log cabin in the Smokey Mountains and Melora played her banjo on the porch swing for us, it was awesome.
We are all looking forward to rocking the west coast and will reunite in the big easy of Na' Wlens.
The response for the DVD Under the Corset has been awesome, thank you to everyone for your kind loving words! We really need all the fans help in spreading the word about the movie so please tell all your friends!!
Ok, well I am about to board a plane to Costa Rica where I'll relax for a week before heading back for the second leg of the tour. If you will be at an upcoming recital please come by the merch table and say hi!
kisses, dawn |

thanks for the update, dawn.
we're getting excited for nawlins, y'all!
my friend jordan plays the cello and hasn't seen rasputina live before. he's in for a treat. i love new orleans. it's lovely there. minus the smell. if you and the new band members haven't been there before, you're in for a treat as well. watch out for bourbon st. the last time that i was there was back in june when i played a gig at the circle bar (yes, that is the actual name of the venue). we rocked so hard the power almost went out.
the documentary seems really interesting from what i've read so far. i assume it's something similar to DiG!...minus bands competing with each other, the excessive drug use, and it involves cellos -- OK, perhaps that wasn't the greatest comparison, but i'm sure someone out there knows what i mean. a nice little insight into life on the road. i guess i'll have to add the joan rivers documentary to my 'things-to-watch' list as well. |
