Zoe Keating. 2002-2006: Zoe was the greatest 2nd chair of all. Rasputina music hurt her finger and she excused herself to nurse it.

Julia Kent. 89-99: The decade-long dysfunctional marriage. While Melora and Julia did achieve effortless ESP communication, very little of a positive nature was communicated.

Kris Cowperthwaite. 99-02: That bosom! When the line-up was Kris, Johnny, and Mel, you could cut the sexual tension with a knife. Kris claimed she left for knee surgery, but...

3^rd CHAIRS:

Serena Jost. 90-93: www.serenamusic.com

Lisa Haney. 93-95: A stern, yet lovely and intelligent person. When Rasputina signed with Columbia, she left. She wanted to be home for her plants and boyfriend, were she ever to acquire either, which she surely has.

Carpella Parvo. 95-96: The Mystery Girl. If anyone hears of her, let us know.

Agnieszka Rybska. 96-98: The cutest thing ever to escape the Eastern Bloc. She left in pregnancy, and now has 2 darling daughters. She built a house in the woods with her husband. About touring, she said, "This is no life!"

Nana Bornant. 98-01:The French Fracas. Kept the faith through the lean years of Melora's baby-having, but when it became clear that she didn't know where the on/off switch was on her amp, Melora had to pull the plug.

Ariana Arcu. 01: A beautiful, real Transylvanian girl came to play. After 2 weeks of rehearsal, she disappeared without a trace, and on the day of a show!

Daphne Klondike. 01: Replaced Nana for one show. Air-cellist extraordinaire (when she's got a couple Jack & Gingers in 'her!)

DRUMMERS:

Tom Martin. Melora's college friend was there for the unorganized inception. He was not even a drummer, but that didn't bother Melora. He is now a tattooist in Albany, NY. www.larktattoo.com

Mark Hutchins. He wore a dress and pearls. He was a sweetie and is believed to be in Austin, TX.

Steve Moses. He claimed that Rasputina's growing notoriety was due not to their fabulous bowing technique, but to his cymbal-laden drumming skills. Nuff said!

Perry James. Perry came into the audition knowing all the songs, which really impressed the girls. He is very handsome, a father, and lives in Boston.
